Please join us Friday, October 21, from 3 to 4:30 in South Hall 2623 (Sankey Room) for an informational meeting for junior and senior English majors interested in apply to the Arnhold Undergraduate Research Fellows Program. Refreshments will be provided.
All Arnhold Fellows are invited to attend our Welcome Reception on Friday, November 22, from 2-3 pm in SH 2635. This reception will serve as a kickoff event for the first-year Arnhold Program fellows, and it will also serve as the “re-release” party for Issue Four of the Arnhold Program journal, Emergence, which the second-year fellows have been working hard on all quarter. The reception will be informal: we’ll all briefly introduce ourselves, we’ll go over our schedule and plans for the rest of the year, you’ll have the chance to meet some second-year fellows and to ask any questions you may have, and then we’ll just mingle and get to know one another. There will, as always, be hors d’oeuvres and beverages.
The welcome reception is serving as the fall quarter’s only “colloquium” for the first-year fellows, so please do make every effort to attend. If you can’t make the welcome reception, please let us know by emailing arnholdprogram at gmail.com.
The first meeting about this fall’s re-release of the Arnhold Program’s journal, Emergence, will be held Friday, October 18, at 11 am in SH 2714 for second-year Arnhold fellows.
We’ll be using the meeting to hash out our plan for the next six weeks, so please make the meeting if you can. Our goal re-release date is during Week 9 of the fall quarter. Take a look at this list of links to other undergraduate journals to get a sense of what they are doing:
