Conferences and Research Showcases:

Arnhold scholars may gain further experience presenting to different audiences by participating in showcases outside of our English department. Remember to check application deadlines at the beginning of the year!

UCSB’s annual Undergraduate Research Colloquium, the next being in May 2018. Applications are usually due April 1.

The  annual Southern California Conferences for Undergraduate Research, the next being in the Fall 2018. The deadline for applying is usually sometime in October. The registration deadline is October 27, 2018.

Grants and Funding:

The UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH AND CREATIVE ACTIVITIES (URCA) GRANT at UCSB awards up to $750 in research grant funds to an undergraduate research project. The deadline to apply is November 4, 2018.

The TRANSFER STUDENT RESEARCH AWARD (TSRA) at UCSB awards up to $750 to a transfer student to assist them with a research project. The deadline will be in March 2019.
